TV is a very personal thing.
I watch a lot of it, write a bit of it and hate most of what’s on it.
Most TV reviews (though certainly not all) try to steer clear of over personalising a review – they probably see that as the professional way to go. They’re probably right. I, however, believe that a shows creation is a personal thing and it’s reception is equally personal – so a review should reflect that. Hence writing letters to TV shows and telling them exactly why they’re brilliant/mediocre/utter dross – and pointing the finger at those who I feel have wronged my precious eyes.
